Synichi Yamamoto
DIRECTOR / MOTION GRAPHIC ARTIST

Mr.Yamamoto has created some of the most prominent Japanese visual works for Corporate Identity + Visual Identity, Station Identity, TV Shows, Feature Films, Music Videos, etc. At Omnibus Japan we are celebrated for our achievements in VFX; but Mr. Yamamoto has been pivotal in extending our portfolio to include innumerable groundbreaking works of Motion Graphics and Interactive Projects. While he creates his own artwork on a wide array of high-end equipment, he also personally directs all the stages of the creative process, from CG to music production, thus delivering highly consistent and imaginative works. Since creating the iconic Sony Music motion logo, he has directed more than 80 different corporate assignments, from full-scale identity and branding projects to product presentations. He is also one of the most prolific and acclaimed directors of visual projects for live concerts, expositions and events like the Tokyo Motor Show, etc.

But his trademark is probably the outstanding diversity of his design styles, from the polished and minimalistic graphics for NHK’s “Good Morning Japan” (2012) to eccentric productions like the seminal ending roll of NTV’s “Monday Movies” (2002~09) or the long-running live-action TV drama “Garo” (2005~). Through his collaborations with the most prominent electro-music artists, he has also created countless experimental movies for festivals and exhibitions. The long list of his awards includes US’s PromaxBDA (2008) and the Japan Media Arts Award (2007, 2009).
